You would think all home improvements would be done prior to or shortly after moving in. Not in our home. I think we've done more in the past 6 months than our whole married lives. (Ok, so in all fairness, most of our married life has been spent in apartments!)
Pete has had a little more time off this month, so we embarked on replacing the tile in the upstairs and downstairs entryway. I have HATED this tile since we moved in. Pete tried removing it when we moved, but decided that nothing short of an earthquake was going to do the job. Luckily, for a Christmas/Birthday present, Pete got the next best thing - an aircompressor with a tool on it like a mini jack hammer. It really isn't a big area, but it took a whole day to get the tile scrapped off the basement floor. The upstairs entryway was much easier.
Here are a few before and after pictures!

hi jill, it's mary dawn. your tile job looks awesome. impressive! we removed tile from our entry way - - well hired to have it removed i should say but i learned how difficult removing tile is. pretty much impossible. love the new look. your kids are adorable. abbie is so grown up. i love the new pictures of your kiddos. anyway, hope you guys are doing well and surviving the cold.
Looks great Jill!! I know how bad you hated that tile. That is how I feel about both of my bathrooms!! Send Pete on over to start my house on fire and then I can just start over! Seriously!!
Good work, Pete! Jill, we're still under seige at our home with all the home projects we'd like to get down, so kudos on being way ahead of us with the tile job! :) I hope everything is going well with you and your family! Love ya' lots!
